What is the best dog food from Walmart to put weight on my dog?

I was wondering what was the best dog food that I could get for my 2 year old bull mastiff to put weight on him since he is slim from Walmart . I have tried almost all of the Pedigree dog food types including the large breed one and I cant get weight on him. I usually feed him 5 cups in the morning and 4 at night but sometimes he doesn’t eat all of the food.

Slim is good for mastiff’s less strain on their legs and hips.

That being said.. walmart sells Iam’s Active dog food. Feed your dog that amount listed for what he SHOULD weigh. not what he currently weighs if you think he is underweight. Divide that amount into 3 or if your able 4 feedings. Smaller feedings make it easier for him to eat a larger amount of food over the course of a day.

Also, schedule a visit to your vet to see if there is a medical reason for his condition, if you haven’t done so already. Worms, thyroid and a number of other medical reason can stop a dog from gaining weight.

You’re problem is that you are giving him too much of not very good food – you need to bump up to a better quality food with more protein and less filler – not finding that at walmart.

Well it’s all full of sh*t, so the dog should fatten up fast. I mean, if you ate nothing but McDonalds, you would soon become a lard @$$ as well, correct?

Does your veterinarian think he is too thin? Have you had him checked recently to make sure you aren’t feeding a parasite?

Go to a pet store and get a better food,or if you have to buy food at Walmart, use Purina ONE dry and Bil-Jac frozen. It is in the frozen food section and it really puts weight on dogs.
