1. Why are French Bulldogs Very Costly?

Cost of French Bulldog

The Frenchies are pricey because of their rarity and variety. The breed also is a crucial reason, and down, you will see many Frenchie breeds.

Also, you can calculate the costs of care, vet expenses, nutrition, housing, and grooming. The price also can be high because of other reasons, such as; efforts, spending time, and their net profit.

Another reason the high cost of French Bulldog is the Artificial Insemination and C-sections expense of breeding. The two procedures can cost between $300–$2000. Artificial Insemination is $300–$1000 and C-sections $500–$2000, both required for Frenchies to reproduce.

Before we see how much Frenchie species cost, I know you will look for an important question.

2. Why Do Dog Breeds Require Artificial Insemination & C-sections?

Due to the way they were produced, French bulldogs are unable to breed naturally.

On the one hand, the female has a tiny hip which is hard for French bulldogs to mate naturally. On the other hand, the male Frenchie is unable to ascend or mount the female accurately. That’s why there must be Artificial insemination and c-sections to reproduce.

It also because they have a big head! Why? A heavy head and weak legs make the mate hard.

4. Feeding & Treats Cost

Food costs depend on what you want to feed your Frenchie. There is the raw diet which is the best but expensive like meat.

Dry food is packed with all necessary vitamins and minerals and ready to be eaten by your Frenchie pet.

Wet food is also a little pricey and contains much hydration as it is mushy and perfect for puppies.

You should feed the 8-week puppies to about 9-months old about 1.5 cups and divide them into four tiny meals daily.

The feeding cost depends on quality, quantity, and Frenchie’s weight. I did some research, and I’ve seen that it will cost you between $18-$60 per month, including treats.

Care & Vet Cost

Vet care is crucial to maintain your Frenchie healthy and happy. The checkups might cost you $100 or $155 annually, maybe more – it depends on the vet cost.

You may also want to check your Frenchie’s health annually, and it will cost you $52. Health checkups (yearly or quarterly) are significant because your dog may be sick, which will cause serious trouble to you and your Frenchie.

Consider buying dog insurance for your dog it may cost you $35 a month, a total of $420 a year, and your Frenchie will get covered with everything he needs.

What I’m unsure about is pet insurance, your dog won’t get sick and remain healthy during the whole year, but you already paid for his insurance. Would you get back your money! I don’t think so.

That moment you would want your pet to get sick or run into trouble so that you will benefit from the insurance (this part was a joke!)

But pet insurance, anyhow, is crucial for your pet, and I recommend you that because it would be helpful.

Conclusion

We saw many factors that made a high cost of French Bulldog like species, coloration, popularity, and expenses. Also, not to mention how cute, friendly, peaceful, and enjoyable they are. These are performing significant reasons of being so popular and expensive breed.
